A perfect week! Our French friends who visited us here were very taken with the apartment and the neighborhood. This is a highly recommended place for many reasons.

This is a wonderful little neighborhood—quite central, yet tucked away.

Carol & Duncan, Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA
(June 2007)

How lucky can we be to spend three weeks in lovely Paris, and the only was was to spend it in a warm, comfortable apartment and neighborhood. A word of advice for those here in the future—quickly get the tourist things over with so you can then get out and experience Paris as the Parisians do!

Shondra & Tom, St. Petersburg, FL, USA
(May 2007))

We've had a wonderful April in your cozy, comfortable pied à terre. Batignolles is so friendly and convenient. We were able to see and experience so much more of Paris than we'd ever expected.

Ruth Ann & Jim, Bethesda, MD, USA
(April 2007)

My stay here was totally great. The apartment is fantastic and very comfortable. It surely was a home away from home.

Jim, Kansas CIty, MO, USA
(March 2007)

Thank you for providing such a fine pied à terre for our use. We enjoyed the independence and privacy that an apartment provides. We certainly will visit Paris this way again, and we will give this place our highest recommendation.

Kathi & Don, Signal Hill, CA, USA
(December 2006)

Thanks for sharing this very cozy Parisian nest. It really has been a home away from home, and a great base from which to make forays and rambles around Paris. A particular delight was finding a musical recital on Sunday afternoon at the salon de thé just a short stroll away. This was a "blue chip" Paris experience.

Beverley, Perth, AUSTRALIA
(October 2006)

After 20 years of wanting to visit Paris, we finally made it. Your apartment was extremely comfortable and well-equipped, even for four adults. Thank you for everything!

Lucille & Bill, Dumfries, VA, USA
(October 2006)

This was our fourth visit to Paris and your apartment was, by far, the best accomodation. Your notebook contained everything we needed to know—amazingly thorough. Thank you for making it so easy to visit Paris.

Paulette & Wally, Ft. Collins, CO, USA
(October 2006)

This has been our second visit to this terrific place, and we look forward to many more. The new paintings and the computer are marvelous additions to what was already a terrific apartment.

Betty & Bob, Washington, DC, USA
(August 2006)

Our week here has been "magnifique" and our two children don't want to leave—especially our 5 year-old who has made new friends every day at Square des Batignolles. The neighborhood is so friendly and the ambience the best in the world.

Carol & Myles, Whitby, Ontario, CANADA
(July 2006)

We certainly had great fun getting to know your little corner of Paris. I particularly enjoyed the view from the kitchen window with my first cup of coffee—window boxes, sparrows, chimneys and beautiful blue skies.

Joanne & Jean-Paul, Houston, TX, USA
(June 2006)

This is our sixth trip to Paris and the third time we've rented an apartment, but the first time we've stayed in an authentic French neighborhood with no tourists and in an apartment furnished and decorated to suite the impeccable taste of the owners. We loved it!

Muriel & Allen, Washington, DC, USA
(June 2006)

Your apartment was wonderful! Our first trip to Paris has been an amazing experience! I do not believe that we would have had as good an experience staying anywhere else.

Eddie, Nashville, TN, USA

What a treat—this place is incredible! I can't imagine what this trip would have been without staying here. It was like being home. And the details you provided—incredible thoughtfulness!

Many thanks for your thoughtful attention to every detail.

Nancy & Dan, Bethlehem, Connecticut, USA

Thanks for providing a lovely base for our Parisian adventures. I even broke down and finally read "The DaVinci Code" from your apartment library.

Doug & Fred, Washington, DC, USA
(January 2006)

We have shared a magical Christmas week at rue Truffaut—a "family reunion" with our 23 year-old daughter who is teaching in Beirut. Your lovely apartment felt like home. We'll never forget strolling in the Square des Batignolles on Christmas afternoon, surrounded by happy families, colorful birds, elegant greenery and grand 19th century apartment buildings rising around us. Thank you for sharing this most comfortable and elegantly appointed apartment.

Laura & Paul, USA

Staying in your superb apartment allowed us to discover a way of life that would be unknown in a hotel. It was a pleasure to return "home" each evening.

Luc & Andrée, Ottwawa, Ontario, CANADA

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful apartment and neighborhood with us. Your style and decorating has made this our favorite place so far (3rd apartment we've stayed in). We plan to "steal" many of your ideas, as we have this week bought our own small apartment. Merci.

We have had a wonderful visit to Paris, made all the more special by staying in this lovely apartment and awesome neighborhood! Thanks so much for sharing your Paris with us, and we look forward to returning soon.

When we leave tomorrow morning it will be so hard to close the door and walk away, knowing that we'll be saying goodbye—again—to Paris and, for the first time, to this apartment. It truly is a magical space. ...the apartment truly is a home and its owners are sharing it with us. We shall miss it.

Debbie & Charlie, British Columbia, CANADA

We had a wonderful time! We feel so blessed. Your apartment is beautiful because you have exquisite taste. You provided us with everything we could possibly need and we appreciate all the time you have taken to provide tips for us in the "Welcome Book." We ate the prize-winning baguettes at Boulangerie Laurent Connan every day. We hopped on the Métro and took our two teenage children to see and experience the beauty of Paris! We have such great memories to cherish forever. Thank you! Thank you! Everything was perfect!

Ed & Dana, Oak Park, IL, USA

We had a most enjoyable time in Paris. We immediately felt at home in your apartment and took advantage of the location. How fantastic is was to have an excellent bakery and good restaurants so close by. Your info portfolio is amazingly thorough and very helpful.

Loved the library of tour books, especially the ones on shopping! We had some of our best meals here and your wonderfully equipped kitchen certainly helped.

It was my great good fortune to find your website and then the apartment. It was a pleasure to stay there. It was clean, airy, refurbished, carefully and tastefully appointed. You have done a wonderful job and made this traveller's stay a real experience. My walks and explorations around the neighborhood were so enjoyable and made me feel like a Parisian—unless I had to communicate, of course—but the local merchants and residents were all friendly and helfpul. With your good taste and attention to detail, the apartment is better than a 5-star hotel. Clean, comfortable, colorful—how could one ask for more?

—Brian, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
(June 2005)

We loved the apartment. It was clean and nice. It was easy to get to everything. We especially loved all the advice and information the owners prepared in a notebook for visitors. It helped us to pick restaurants, etc. We also appreciated the owners' help and advice prior to the trip. Their information was so helpful. We truly had a wonderful time in Paris!!!

This was our third trip to Paris and quite possibly our best one yet. The apartment was lovely and very well located. Several times we walked down to Eglise Madeleine to visit Hédiard, Fauchon and La Maison du Chocolat. It's also an easy walk to Montmartre and Sacré-Coeur. The neighborhood itself offers every amenity: an organic farmers maker each Saturday, outstanding bakeries, fromageries, wine stores, cafés, restaurants and other shops. Our two-year-old daughter loved the neighborhood, especially Square des Batignolles with its swings, slides and carousel. This was or third trip to Paris and it was wonderful to explore a new neighbourhood and see so many new places and things. We would loved to have stayed longer and hope to return soon.

We did indeed have a terrific time in Paris—in no small measure because we enjoyed your flat so much. We had never been in the Batignolles area and found it completely delightful—as were the restaurants we tried. Our Paris friends, who were curious to see the apartment that we raved about all through lunch, were very much impressed with the way in which it was furnished—as were we. It was comfortable, convenient, warm, and altogether beyond our expectations. As for our visiting again—I am already making plans. Thanks for making a wonderful holiday possible.

(March 2005)

We cannot say enough about how great our stay was! The place is very well situated, enormous compared to hotel rooms in Paris, comfortable, handsomely appointed, reasonably priced, easy to navigate, and very easy to use. Both the beds are comfortable and your instruction manual is a confused American's dream! We hadn't spent time in Batignolles before this visit, and really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. We were really pleased with the internet hookup which allowed us to be in contact with family and friends in the U.S. without big phone bills. You can count on us to be in touch every time we travel to Paris—perhaps now it'll be a bit more often, since we've found such a satisfactory place.

—Bob & Betty, Washington, DC, USA
(February 2005)

We loved our stay here. The apartment was more than we expected and the quartier exactly what we wanted. It wasn't our first time in Paris, but we felt the magic of the city once again. For the last five years we have e-rented apartments in different cities and by now we consider ourselves able to imagine how they would look from the websites' descriptions and a few questions to the owners. We were pleasantly surprised by this property in Paris. The info provided about the apartment and the neighborhood was totally accurate and the apartment is full of details showing that the owners care a lot. The result is a cozy and comfortable environment, great for nice evenings after long walks and sightseeing. We strongly recommend the experience and hope you will enjoy Paris as much as we did.

We enjoyed our stay in Paris very much. We were satisfied with your apartment. It was really what we expected. It was comfortable and well located. Be sure that we will recommend it to our friends who choose Paris as their destination.

We had a wonderful time in Paris and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was very comfortable, even with four people, and we loved the neighborhood, which was entirely charming. We felt very safe, even when returning home late at night. Lauren was most helpful in explaining numerous points about the apartment, the neighborhood and the city. In fact, she was encyclopedic.

Your restaurant list was very helpful, and we dined at three of the restaurants you recommeneded. One night we had a very lively time in the little bar on the corner where we stopped for a nightcap. We were welcomed with open arms and ended up dancing with the other patrons. Across from the bar was a boulangerie, which was very convenient. The pain viennois was a real winner, but all the breads we tried were delicious. We would like to have had lunch or dinner at the little Russian restaurant down the street, but never got the chance.

In the apartment, we had plenty of closet space, the drapes kept the light out on sunny mornings, the beds were very comfortable, and we had an abundance of towels. It was handy to have a dining table for breakfast and we had more than enough dishes and kitchen utensils.

Would we go back? Yes, yes, yes and we would like to stay longer. What are the rates for a month?

—Mary, Washington, DC, USA

The apartment is absolutely charming and is in a wonderful neighbourhood. It is an easy 10 minute bus or metro ride to the tourist district and is easy walking distance to Montmartre. If you are there on a Saturday, do not miss the wondrous street market about 3 blocks from your door. I would heartily recommend staying there. The owners are very nice, as are those who meet you in Paris. Two thumbs up. Way up.
